Homework will be given out on Friday in the children’s learning log and is to be handed in the following Wednesday.

Only for Year 1’s – there are no spellings for Foundation Stage.

Spellings will be sent home on a Friday and the children will have a spelling test on the following Wednesday.

Children have yellow wallets which are regularly updated with new sounds and tricky words. There are ideas for games to play. Please support your child in learning these and looking after them.

Your child will come home with 3 different books;
2 Reading Books that are matched to your child’s phonic level and are book banded
A choosing book – from the class library that is to be read by an adult.

Please read with your child every day. This can be either them reading to you or a grown up reading to them. All the children have an online reading record that can be accessed on your child’s Google Classroom. This need to be filled in every time your child read or have been read to.

Half-termly Topics

A knowledge mat giving information about the topic will be shared on Google Classroom at the beginning of each unit and a copy will be sent home for reference – we hope you find these useful.
