House System
All children at Mercenfeld belong to one of four houses; Griffin, Centaur, Pegasus or Phoenix. Siblings will be put into the same house and new starters in reception will receive notification of their house shortly after starting with us.
Children will be able to earn points for their house when participating in sporting activities. This could be representing the school at external events, during inter-house tournaments or during PE sessions. Points will be awarded for attitude, teamwork and performance.
Dojo points and Head Teacher awards are given for good behaviour and work completed in the classroom. Children should take pride in their house and do their best to contribute to house point totals. These totals will be unveiled every week and cups awarded every half term.
Each house will have a house captain and vice-captain who will be drawn from Year 6.
